The Council for Educational Travel, U.S.A., more commonly known as CETUSA, offers programs designed to facilitate cultural and intellectual exchange. A nonprofit with its headquarters in San Clemente, California, and regional offices in 15 additional states throughout the country, CETUSA promotes its motto, “Founded on friendship.” As its prime mission, CETUSA endeavors to create opportunities for program participants to travel, work, study, and acquire professional training around the globe. With current partners in more than 50 countries, CETUSA fosters a spirit of communication and mutual understanding between international youth and their American peers. To date, CETUSA has helped thousands of inquisitive students, families, interns, trainees, and employers experience other cultures while forging enriching international relationships. CETUSA maintains membership in the Council for Educational Travel (CET) Management Group. As such, CETUSA cooperates with other CET international affiliates, including the London-based English school Twin Towers and Dr. Frank Sprachen und Reisen (DSFR), an international exchange program based in Heppenheim, Germany. Other partner organizations include CET Adventures, CET Vancouver, and CET’s European Hotel Academy. Operated year-round by English-speaking teachers, the European Hotel Academy arranges for students to gain hands-on experience as a hospitality industry worker in such diverse destinations as Ireland, Cyprus, the Channel Islands, or Canada. In addition to maintaining membership and compliance with the standards of the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel, CETUSA also enjoys affiliation with the World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation.
