Sharp held the position of President and owner of Curtis Sharp Custom Homes beginning in 1977. At various points in his career, he was also a successful car salesman, earning the title of Salesman of the Month at Bill Curry Buick in Dallas (for which he was Salesman of the Year in 1976) and Haleakala Motors on Maui. From 1989 to 1992, Curtis Sharp was President, owner, and Supervisor of the Whale’s Tale Restaurant, where he increased overall sales dramatically. He then became an on-site sales consultant for Bill Milburn Homes in Austin, Texas, and sold over 127 homes for prices between $120,000 and $250,000. With his construction knowledge and his experience in sales and supervision, Curtis B. Sharp reestablished his custom homebuilding company in 1994 in Austin, and relocated to Frisco, Texas, in 2005.
