Kulaniapia Falls is Hawaii's top private waterfall and offers day passes and off-the-grid accommodations and adventurous activities to do on the Big Island.
This serene B&B is 4.3 miles from Hilo and situated on the Waiau River.
The elegant rooms are uniquely decorated and have free WiFi, marble bathrooms and balconies with orchard, ocean or waterfall views. Some have flatscreen TVs and custom, handcarved furnishings.
There are bamboo gardens, ponds, 2 miles of hiking trails and 3 tiered waterfalls on the secluded 22-acre grounds. There's also a spa on-site (surcharge) specializing in massage. Parking and an island-style breakfast are complimentary.
