Where Does Our Inspiration Come From?

By Olive Mae Clothing

04/02/2015 At Olive Mae, we love everything frilly, ruffled and pretty. And inspiration to create any of our beautiful, one-of-a-kind dresses can strike at any time! Luckily we have a good library of resources to turn to when we need to find inspiration to create something new.
Old Vogue magazines are a must when it comes to finding inspiration. The timeless glamour and beauty of the clothing serves as a huge influence for Olive Mae designs. When the creator of Olive Mae clothing, Lacy, was a girl, she used to look through old Vogue magazines as she made all of her own clothes. The classic style brings a touch of fun elegance to everything Olive Mae creates.

Another source of inspiration for Olive Mae is Shirley Temple. Looking at old photos of Ms. Temple, you’ll see fun ruffles and everything girly! This vintage style is perfect model for what makes Olive Mae dresses so sweet and delightful.
