Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a nonprofit, private, national university offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in a variety of disciplines, including education, interdisciplinary studies, leadership, social work, psychology and human development, public administration, and more. Established in 1964 as part of an association of 10 colleges called the Union for Research and Experimentation in Higher Education, Union Institute & University has offered educational opportunities to nontraditional students for almost 50 years. The school gives students the option to engage in brief residencies, or attend courses online or at its academic centers in North Miami Beach, Florida; Brattleboro and Montpelier, Vermont; and Sacramento and Los Angeles, California.
