⚠️ Remember! ⚠️ Your startup journey is a marathon, not a sprint. 👉🏾 Here's why you shouldn't forget to pace yourself: Having highly aggressive sales goals while trying to figure out how your market responds to your product initially can lead to a lot of frustration and cause you to throw in the towel instead of watching for useful pivots. In the early stages, it helps to think of your sales goals as meaningful milestones instead of sales numbers. Here's an example: ✅ Milestone 1: Get 30 customers in our chosen target industry to try our product. ✅ Milestone 2: Incorporate feedback from our new customers into a new version of the product. ✅ Milestone 3: Create a standard sales process based on what worked for initial customers. ...and then keep adding on and keep going. Once you have a standard sales and marketing process in place, you are now ready to set those race-to-the-top goals!
