SportsMed Physical Therapy We are the premiere physical therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture centers throughout NJ and CT. SportsMed's team of professional chiropractors and physical therapists offer a variety of treatments for many different conditions. Our highly trained staff of physiotherapists specialize in helping patients, including everything from post-operative rehabilitation to everyday aches and pains. Therapy plans may consist of one or all of the following services, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, and/or Spinal Decompression, sports injuries, low back pain, neck pain, headaches and treatment. Our goal is to provide the latest and most innovative techniques in patient care. Physical therapy treatment restores optimal function by minimizing physical impairments, functional limitations, sports injuries and disabilities related to congenital and acquired conditions. Our physical therapists help people maintain their health (preventing future deterioration or illness) and make environmental adaptations that enable people to function independently.     New blog: Sudden Sharp Pain in the Wrist https://lnkd.in/e-knQTuB Wrist pain is a common complaint, whether from an acute sports injury or too many hours logged at a keyboard. In fact, up to 1 in 5 adults* will experience sharp pain in their wrist at some point in their lives. As we continue to celebrate Hand Therapy Week, we tapped the expertise of SportsMed Union City Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist and Certified Hand Therapist Rebecca Lieberman, OTR/L, CHT to learn more about the causes of, treatment options for, and ways to prevent wrist pain. Our newest blog is full of tips & tricks, including easy exercises & stretches you can try at home. If you are experiencing wrist pain, it is recommended to see a qualified healthcare professional such as a Hand Therapist for evaluation and treatment. Rebecca said it best: “Our goal is to help you get back to your normal routine and preferred activities. CHTs have additional training and clinical experience, and pass a rigorous certification exam to receive their credentials. SportsMed is proud to offer this specialized service to our patients.     Earlier this month, the SportsMed Englewood team was excited to co-host a Teacher’s Appreciation Day event at Dwight Morrow High School. Along with Progressive Spine and Orthopedics, we celebrated the amazing teachers as a thank you for all of their hard work and dedication. Even more exciting was that the winner of our raffle was Ms. Antoine Walker, who happens to be a patient at SportsMed Englewood.
