Position: Associate Attorney Gerling Law has provided aggressive, high-quality legal services for over 60 years, and we believe our culture of high performance built upon excellence, teamwork and respect sets us apart. We are currently looking to expand our team by adding an Associate Attorney in our Evansville and Owensboro offices. We are seeking individuals with the skills, enthusiasm and imagination to continue our record of high-quality service. Position responsibilities: - Will assist and collaborate with senior attorneys and complete assigned tasks - Will conduct legal research and writing - Will draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions and briefs - Will assist with trial preparation - Will analyze case-specific legal issues and documentation, including insurance policies - Will investigate claims and gather evidence - Will review medical documents, calculate damages and present claims for review and potential pre-litigation resolution Required Qualifications: - Licensed to practice in Indiana, Kentucky and/or Illinois - Extensive experience with Microsoft Office - Ability to manage a heavy caseload and be self-sufficient - Ability to keep deadlines, organize information, and create systems for managing work - Self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems Benefits: In addition to a competitive salary, this position includes a comprehensive and diverse package of benefits.
