It's a period dedicated to raising awareness about heart health, encouraging preventative measures, and highlighting the importance of care for those facing cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the Impact: Heart diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart attack, congestive heart failure, and hypertension, are the leading causes of death in the United States. Every year, these conditions claim the lives of hundreds of thousands, affecting not just the patients but their families and loved ones. Common Causes of Heart-Related Deaths: - Coronary artery disease, leading to heart attacks - High blood pressure, contributing to heart failure - Strokes, often related to heart health - Arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats These conditions not only lead to a significant mortality rate but also impact the quality of life of millions, necessitating comprehensive care and support. Did You Know? Nearly half of all Americans have at least one of the three key risk factors for heart disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and smoking. Many of these conditions can be managed or prevented with lifestyle changes and medical care. In support of American Heart Month, let's advocate for heart health awareness, encourage healthy living, and support those impacted by heart diseases. Together, we can make a difference. Let's take this month to educate ourselves and our loved ones about the importance of heart health and the pivotal role of supportive care in managing heart disease. #HeartMonth #LiftedHospice
