Dubbed a “town square” for mission-driven projects and small businesses, it represents the latest addition to the expansive We ecosystem, which includes WeWork. Scope of Work: The project encompassed comprehensive plumbing and fire protection design for the 1st floor. This included field surveys, a due diligence report, calculations, and system layouts for plumbing and fire protection. Renovation efforts upgraded the existing sprinkler system and integrated standard plumbing systems for the café alongside a specialized grease waste system equipped with two grease traps to handle kitchen equipment and floor drains. Coordination with all involved trades and the filing of necessary documents with NYC DOB and NYDEP were crucial components of the project. We undertook the plumbing design for both the main floor and basement, including the installation of a new hot water heater to ensure top-notch service. Oelbermann & Co., the 6-story building at 63 Green Street in SoHo now houses 15 residential apartments. This historic structure, designed by Edward H. Kendell, is notable for its substantial, plainly styled cornice that prominently displays the company’s name. Ads Engineers was tasked with conducting a thorough assessment of the building’s structural integrity and designing new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The scope of our project encompassed the design of plumbing and fire protection systems throughout the building, a feasibility study of the existing systems, preparation of detailed reports, calculations of existing and new loads, and system layout planning. Coordination with various trades was essential for the smooth execution of the project. The project will involve outfitting two and a half floors previously used by GSK in 2018. The first floor will accommodate NHP housing, procedures, large animal necropsy, and related support areas. The second floor will house rodents, procedures, and include a renovated NHP surgery suite and cagewash with new equipment. The lower level will feature receiving, waste, cold storage, isolation for rodents, and a small lab/procedure section.   R&P Consulting Engineers, led by Anneta Patrick, have been tasked with designing the plumbing and fire protection systems for the lower level, first, and second floors.
