Roofing done differently. Serving Utah, Colorado, Idaho, and Montana

About us

The original Roofing Center was founded in 1982. From then on, The Roofing Center worked to provide the best quality roofing products at the best price possible. In 1984 The Roofing Center introduced stone-coated steel roofing to the intermountain west and significantly changed the way we do roofing. Originally this product line was brought in for commercial customers, however, we quickly realized there was not a product on the market with better quality, price, and performance available for residential customers. We made a course correction and have been working with homeowners since then!  From then on all of our time and effort has gone into installing the best metal roofs with the best warranty in the industry. We have worked with most major metal roofing manufacturers and have insights and experience with the different products available. Today The Roofing Center has the same focus as it initially did back in the 80s. Provide the best possible product, at the best price, and with the best service. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide the highest level of service to customers statewide from our Utah, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho locations. Best of all as a second-generation family roofer, you can rest assured we will be around long enough to take care of all your roofing needs!   As the business has expanded so has our product line. We now proudly offer metal shingles, a full line of asphalt shingles, and various other specialty products. If you are a homeowner or commercial building owner, rest assured, that we have a product that can work for your needs and budget!

New Year, New Roof? Not quite, but let's check-in! Are you ringing in 2024 with resolutions for a smooth year? Remember your trusty roof! It keeps the rain out and the cozy in, so let's give it some love with a quick New Year's checklist: Roof Inspection: Ground control to the roof: Grab some binoculars (or safely climb  if you're adventurous!) and scan for missing, cracked, or curled shingles. Flashing fun? Check around chimneys, vents, and skylights for any gaps or wear in the flashing (those metal seals). Gutters galore: Are they sagging or overflowing? Clogged gutters can cause significant water damage, so clear those leaves and debris! Cleaning Crew: Moss or no moss? Moss build-up can trap moisture and damage shingles. Tackle it gently with a broom or specialized cleaners. Branch out: Trim any overhanging branches that could scratch or puncture your roof. Downspout detective: Make sure downspouts are securely attached, directing water away from your foundation. Bonus Round: Schedule a pro check: Consider getting a professional inspection (especially if you spotted any major concerns) for peace of mind. Warranty Wonders: Check your warranty paperwork for any maintenance requirements or deadlines. Rooftop resolutions: Make a plan for any repairs or replacements you know are coming up. You'll set yourself up for a happy and dry new year by giving your roof some TLC! Share your roof maintenance tips in the comments below! ☔️ #newyearnewme #roofmaintenance #homeimprovement #diytips #preventativecare

The Benefits of Heat Steaming Ice Off Your Roof Over Shoveling As winter descends and blankets our homes in snow and ice, the age-old question arises: How do we efficiently remove the icy buildup on our roofs? Traditionally, the answer has been to grab a shovel and start digging. However, there’s a better way: heat steaming. In this article, we’ll explore why heat steaming is a superior method for ice removal compared to shoveling, offering not only convenience but also a range of benefits for both your roof and your peace of mind.                1.           Prevents Damage to Your Roof Shoveling snow and ice off your roof may seem like a straightforward solution, but it can be surprisingly damaging. The scraping action of a shovel can harm your roof’s shingles, leading to cracks and premature wear. Additionally, the weight of the ice on your roof can make shoveling even riskier. Heat steaming, on the other hand, gently melts the ice, avoiding any potential damage to your roofing materials.                2.           Minimizes Injury Risk Shoveling snow and ice from your roof is a physically demanding task that poses a significant risk of injury. Slippery surfaces, heavy equipment, and the need to climb onto your roof create a dangerous combination. Heat steaming eliminates the need for physical labor on your roof, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries associated with shoveling.                3.           Saves Time and Effort Shoveling a roof can be an arduous and time-consuming process, especially after heavy snowfall. It often requires multiple rounds of shoveling to clear the roof completely. Heat steaming, however, is a much more efficient and time-saving method. It melts the ice quickly and evenly, allowing you to clear your roof in a fraction of the time it would take with a shovel.                4.           Ensures Thorough Ice Removal Shoveling may leave behind stubborn ice patches or uneven clearing, potentially leading to refreezing and ice dams. Heat steaming offers a more consistent and thorough ice removal process. It ensures that all ice is melted away, leaving your roof free from dangerous ice buildup.                5.           Environmentally Friendly Using heat to remove ice from your roof is an environmentally friendly choice. It doesn’t involve the use of chemicals or the generation of excess waste, as some de-icing methods do. By opting for heat steaming, you can minimize your environmental impact while safeguarding your home.                6.           Cost-Effective in the Long Run While heat steaming may require an initial investment in professional services, it can be cost-effective in the long run. The prevention of roof damage and the reduction in injury risk can save you money on costly roof repairs and medical bills.

The installation of your residential roof will affect its durability and performance. A roof replacement is a hefty investment and one you should only have to make once. The Roofing Center specializes in lifetime roofing systems, but not all roofing contractors are created equal. If you have done your research and chosen a professional company, you shouldn’t have to question the quality of the installation. However, if you notice loose shingles, leaks, sagging, or mold growth, you may have poor installation issues on your hands: https://lnkd.in/g9u56F2e
