Those interested in applying for FAST Coordinator can pick up an application at the board office located at 259 East Peter Street in Cochran, Georgia.
Directions for Online Enrollment and Form Collection
We will be introducing online enrollment and forms collection for the 2024-25 school year.
If you already have access to children in PowerSchool, forms will be accessible within the PowerSchool portal.
Guardians will be able to fill out required information on their electronic devices; however, the first step to be able to access these forms is to access PowerSchool. Click on the attachment for more information.

Pre-K Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Pre-K registration for the 2024-2025 school year will occur on February 16, 2023, in the Bleckley Primary School gym from 9 am to 2 pm. Packets can be downloaded here or picked up in the front office of Bleckley Primary or at the Board of Education office.

Bleckley County School District Achieves 2023  GSBA Exemplary School Board Status
 October 30, 2023 – Bleckley County School District is proud to announce the achievement and status of the Georgia School Boards Association’s (GSBA) 2023 Exemplary School Board recognition.
The recognition program is designed to showcase best practices in school governance and leadership. GSBA recognizes good school board governance to foster educational community cultures in order to advance student learning and achievement.
Bleckley County School Board met and/or exceeded the criteria set forth by GSBA to earn the honor of a 2023 Exemplary Board.
The GSBA Governance Team Recognition Program was developed by Georgia superintendents and board members based on the state board of education’s standards for effective governance to recognize exemplary leadership.
In 1998, the Georgia School Boards Association was one of the first school board associations in the nation to develop a program of standards for local boards of education.
The GSBA Board recognition program is a three-tiered program. For more information on the program you may visit the GSBA website for awards and recognition or to view the criteria for all tiers of the program.
Georgia Student Health Survey

Georgia Student Health Survey On Monday, November 6th, your child will participate in a statewide school survey identifying school safety and climate issues impacting student achievement. If you do not wish for your child to participate in the Georgia Student Health Survey, please call the front office of Bleckley County Middle School for an opt-out document, which will be sent home by your child. This document must be returned to the school before the survey date.
