I have had / am having the worst moving experience ever with this company.
PROS: The movers showed up on time.
There were four movers, so things went quickly.
CONS: Everything else. The man who "managed" my case messed up the dates and is "no longer with the company". The manager gave me is word (verbally, over the phone) for a date and later reneged and said he never promised it, so my things arrived eight days later than scheduled. Now when I sent photos of the damaged boxes, the manager, Johnny, said " I don't see any evidence of mishandling whatsoever. These boxes have arrived in fine condition." Even the movers (there were only two of them to drop off my things) encouraged me to take photos of the damaged boxes.
He also wrote, "Keep in mind that the boxes you've used are the absolute worst boxes that you could've purchased." I used Home Depot boxes, many of which were Home Depot's "heavy duty" boxes. These have always worked well for me.
I have never had such a terrible experience. I have attached photos for your reference.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mel S.Seattle, WA5727912Feb 2, 2015
I got a job in Seattle and was given only $5K gross to cover moving expenses from Chicago. After looking at a handful of companies, I realized that the cost of moving all of my stuff (2b/2ba condo) 3200 miles or so would range anywhere between $4600-6700 for moving boxes and furniture (no packing by the company. I was about to sign a contract with a different company but decided on a gut feeling to do one more yelp search and found Movers Alliance. And I'm so happy I did.
Patrick was such a great person to work with and he did a great job communicating with us pickup/drop off. He also gave me the best quoted price ($3200) for moving boxes and furniture as was told that they could pack our stuff for an extra $400. I decided to splurge on the extra $400 because I was saving so much compared to the other quoted companies. Although my final bill came out to about ~$600 extra, I knew ahead of time that I underestimated how many boxes we would use (my bf has WAYY more stuff than I expected). Even though we paid more than I was expecting, I definitely think it was worth it.
-The movers came on time.. they actually came about 10 minutes early but waited until our time to call me
-The movers were professional and honest about the number of boxes I would require (i only quoted 20, it turned out to be about 30-40)
-They packed our place quickly and had all things packed tightly into a van in 4.5 hours
-I discussed having our items arrive as close to the date that we would arrive in Seattle. Our stuff was picked up about 2 weeks before we left and arrived about 12 hours after we stepped foot into our new home.
Overall, what a great, reliable company. I would definitely use their services again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - L M.Chicago, IL179655Feb 13, 2015
This was my first big move ever and I was so worried because there are absolute horror stories about movers. I moved from San Diego to Chicago and it was seriously so easy. I really didn't lift a finger and all my calls and emails were answered within the day.
Nothing much else to say but if I ever have to move cross country again I'll use them again for SURE. oh and remember the moving crew that comes and picks up your stuff isn't the same crew that drops off, so if you can, tip both crews appropriately.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 349423732Dec 19, 2014
I've moved 8 times since graduating from college, so unfortunately, I know all too well how bad some moving experiences can be. Well, let me tell you...Movers Alliance was the exact opposite of all those bad experiences! I recently used them for a small load move from Cleveland to Chicago. The quote and scheduling process was a breeze, and everyone was great to deal with. On both the pick-up and delivery days, the drivers called 30 minute prior to arrival, to let me know they were on the way. (And both days, they were within the 2 hour window I was given when booking the move.) They were efficient and polite during both the load and the unload...and they were especially thorough about carefully preparing my antique furniture for shipment...lots of cardboard reinforcement, and blankets for protection. All in all, I was super pleased with Movers Alliance...they were worth every penny!

First Cross country move and they put my mind at ease.
The movers contracted to pick up were great and handled my things carefully and efficiently.
The movers that delivered came within 3 business days of my first available date. Much sooner than I expected.
All in all a great experience. I would recommend this company to anyone needing to move long distance.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karen L.Murphys, CA23610249Jul 31, 2015
Who would think that moving from Chicago to San Francisco bay area would be pretty much stress free? Not me certainly. But when I called this company a great guy name Ricky Barahona made it possible. His attention to detail and knowing just what to do to help me was incredible. His honesty was surprising and I don't know, he just came across as a REALLY cool person. Any way my move went smoothly and I now love the bay area. If you need a big move call and ask for Ricky. He's YOUR guy. Thanks again Ricky.

We just moved our 3 bedroom house from Naperville, IL to Miami Beach, CA last month and I must say I've never encountered a team of movers like we did with Movers Alliance. From the initial phone call with Jake Jeckel, to the team leaving our house in Miami Beach, everything was as smooth as silk! I couldn't be more happy with the service we paid for. I would like to thank Jake for being extremely diligent with every request and question we had for him. I would also like to thank both teams of movers at pickup and delivery. We treated our workers to Pizza at both locations as well as tipped both teams. They REALLY worked their butts off! Thank you Long Distance Movers Alliance! You're the first mover I am willing to refer to anybody, and we will be using your services again in the near future for my sisters move!

I moved across the country from San Francisco to Milwaukee and Movers Alliance was great. The best parts were the customer service from Laura Hill and the movers themselves. The move out and move in were very fast. The one thing that I would change is that it took a long time to get our stuff. However, that gave Laura an opportunity to do her thing and help me talk to the right people.

I really enjoyed working with Long Distance Movers Alliance for our recent move from Chicago, IL to Camarillo, California. Their pricing is very fair and reasonable (no hidden charges, silly fees, etc), the staff and movers are extremely friendly and easy to contact for questions and concerns, and most important of all, they delivered our items ON TIME and in perfect condition.
(Please see my yelp review about another moving company/broker we used four months ago and the dismal experience we had with them. You'll understand why timely delivery of goods is so important especially when moving cross country).
I highly recommend Long Distance Movers Alliance.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
