TAMMY SPENCER

Founder

After devoting many years of service to HISD, our founder Tammy Spencer understood how broken our public school systems are. She understood how many families struggled to receive a timely dyslexia diagnosis, and how many students lacked the essential foundation they needed to move forward in their education. To solve these problems and provide what so many of her students come to know as “the first good instruction,” she launched a school specifically for students who aren’t receiving the education they need through traditional curriculum, and the Dyslexia School of Houston was born.
