THERE ARE LOTS OF REASONS TO BE
INVOLVED IN FOSTER CARE.

We do it to bring HOPE to children in crisis.

We do it to help restore FAMILIES.

We do it for THE KINGDOM.

THE REALITY IS THAT THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HOMES FOR THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN WHO ARE
COMING INTO CARE.

The church has the calling to care for orphans and widows

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Foster children need someone to say yes to them….

WILL YOU JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO BRING
HOPE TO CHILDREN
AND RESTORE FAMILIES
FOR THE KINGDOM?

  • Your first step to learning more about fostering with zero obligation is attending one of our Information Sessions which are held online and in person. During this session, we will give more insight into what the foster care need looks like in our community. We will also help you understand what this calling entails both from a physical/emotional aspect as well as a spiritual aspect.

There is no cost and no obligation – it is simply the first step in your journey to discover more about Biblical foster care.

    1. Complete an interest form on our website.

    2. Attend an info session held on Zoom or in person at churches across our community.

    3. Complete Foster Parent Training classes.

    4. Have a home study and background checks completed.

    5. Become a licensed foster parent and have children placed in your home.

  • In order to become a foster parent with A Door of Hope, you must:

    • Be at least 21 years old.

    • Pass local criminal, federal criminal, and abuse registry background screenings (for all adults and children 12 and up in the home).

    • If married, be married for at least one year (pssst! you don’t have to be married to be a foster parent!).

    • Have a desire to live out The Gospel.

  • We know some are not called to foster, but we do believe that as Christians, we have a part in caring for foster children. Here are some ways that you can get involved with A Door of Hope:
