About Us

PNGC Power is an Oregon-based electric generation and transmission (G&T) cooperative owned by 16 Northwest electric distribution cooperative utilities with service territory in 7 western states.

We provide our 16 member-owner cooperative utilities with economic and strategic value so they can offer customers the lowest cost power possible today and in the future. Our goal is to continue to increase the competitiveness of our electric cooperative member-owners.

The Future

We have prioritized 3 major policy areas that we think are critical to our future. We call these the “Big 3.”

Expertise

PNGC Power’s staff members bring a wealth of knowledge from diverse energy backgrounds ranging from hydropower and transmission expertise to government affairs, engineering, economics, finance and energy efficiency.

PNGC Power is governed by a board of directors comprised of professional utility managers from each of our member systems. Each has years of experience and a broad range of expertise in the power industry.

Projects

Coffin Butte Resource Project

The project generates clean, renewable power from landfill gas, a natural by-product of the organic matter in the neighboring regional landfill. The Coffin Butte Landfill Gas Generation Project, which began operation in 1995, allows several electric cooperatives to offer customers “green power” as a way to support renewable resources.
