Received my Highline 6 today and had to set up. It survived shipping from Utah here to West Virginia. Not gonna say it's the first Springbar Tent in WV. But guarantee it's one of a just a few. As a previous Kodiak owner the quality of this Springbar Highline 6 blows the competition away. Time to season it and let it dry good. Then it's off to Sherwood Lake for a 14 day stay at the best primitive style campground in the state. I'm sure this Springbar will draw a lot of attention. Can't wait to camp now. I'm one happy guy!!!!
Haven’t use it but outstanding tent ⛺️! !
I have an old AAA/Springbar inside frame 8 person tent my parents bought in 1960, a two man I got in 1978, which survived four boyscouts. In 1993 I bought a 6 man tent ex-wife got it. Looking forward to spending time in the new tent. Springbars are the best tent out there, will last 60 + years, if you remeber to put them up dry.
I set this tent up for the first time yesterday, went up easy and took me maybe 20 minutes solo. Materials and build quality are top notch, tent size is exactly as advertised and I love that packing everything back in the bag is easy. Needless to say, this tent is MASSIVE, definitely more room than necessary for me and a couple of hunting dogs but glad I went with the 140. I noticed the pin holes along the bottom seam another reviewer mentioned... I SOAKED the tent down four times yesterday with a hose from close range and no water made it's way inside, I have zero concern about the pin holes. The awning is massive and the portico panels are well built / worth the money. I had a couple small issues with my order and it gave me a chance to test out their customer service... I'm blown away. I called their customer service line, a real person picked up the phone in one ring and had a resolution for me within 2 minutes. I also reached out to customer service on another minor issue via email and had a response within 30 minutes, replacement part shipped out same day and arriving 2 days from now. Their products are top shelf, customer service is next level and I'm so glad I went with CJ over the many other competitors with similar products.
PORTICO AWNING PANELS for HIGHLINE & CLASSIC JACK SERIES TENTS
I have 2 different Springbar Tents and I purchased Springbar’s Ground Tarps for both of them. The fit for the footprint of the tent makes a huge difference in a rain storm. Highly recommend!
Would recommend this as the ultimate car camping tent. With two people our whole setup fits inside, with room for friends. Get some long lag bolts, washers and an impact driver and set up is a breeze, pair that with some moving blankets for carpet and cleaning the floor takes no time at all. Withstood high winds (50mph+) the first day we got it and set outside to season, and was bone dry inside during thunderstorms on our first trip. I always make sure to guy it out to keep it sturdy. If you're on the fence, the price is well worth a tent that's going to last decades to come, just make sure to give it a little TLC and store it dry. Absolute game changer! Next step is to shop for the stove set when fall comes.
I’m beyond satisfied with my Highline 6. I am using it full time and it is making my camping experience so much better!
I love tents, always have. From back yard camp outs as a kid growing up in Northern Minnesota to multi day backpacking trips in the north cascades where I now live. For years I wanted to add a canvas wall tent to my collection of tents. I had always thought that I would end up with a classic A-frame style wall tent. After months of shopping for the perfect canvas tent I came across the video of Jack Kirkham showing off his skyliner tent and I knew I had found my new tent. The thoughtful design, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship made right here in the United States is second to none. My new tent truly brings me joy! Thank you springbar!
Just camped in Big Sur with our new tent! I managed to put it up in about 0 minutes by myself. Love the size, the feel of the canvas and the look is so classic. Big purchase but worth it!
I purchased my Skyliner as an all purpose camping/hunting tent. I was hoping the tent would be able to stay as cool as possible for warmer weather camping as I know it will handle the cold and harsh weather just fine. My first trip was late May and in the Sierra-Nevada mountains with camp sitting just below 7,000 feet. The temperature swing was from 73 to 38 degrees. I was very happy with the ventilation in this tent. Even when it warmed up, I was able to open all the windows and inside the tent was able to cool down. The key is, this tent has big back windows, a good sized side window, and big screen doors to help get the circulation needed. As far as the lower temperature early in the morning, it was no problem this trip. I just ran a Buddy heater in the morning to warm the tent for my girlfriend and it was plenty. Overall this is a well built tent. I believe the Skyliner model will last a lifetime if taken care of appropriately. And yes, the quality and craftsmanship is everything Springbar claims!
