Dr. Kaplan completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals under the direction of Dr. Robert Ruberg who has served as Vice Chairman of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is the past President of the Association of Academic Chairman of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Kaplan received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and his B.S. in Biology at The Citadel. Dr. Kaplan has been practicing surgery since 1987. During Dr. Kaplan's training experience at The Ohio State University, he received extensive training in maxilofacial trauma, cancer reconstruction and cosmetic surgery.
