Established in 1920 by Harry Herff and Randall Jones in an old fire engine building in downtown Indianapolis, Herff Jones has grown over the last century to include manufacturing facilities across the nation and in Canada. Initially producing handcrafted class rings, pins, medals, and a selection of emblematic jewelry primarily to support educational institutions, the company branched out over the years to incorporate products for religious groups, sports organizations, movie and event production clients, and the judiciary. Herff Jones proudly supported the government during the 1940s by producing bullet dies and later the Bronze Star.

Most recently, it manufactured the University of Florida’s NCAA Championship rings and Super Bowl XLI rings for the Indianapolis Colts. Also since 1983, the firm has produced the Indianapolis 500 winner’s ring. Now almost a century old, Herff Jones continues its dedication to quality customer service as a manufacturer of graduation-related items, recognition awards, and educational products that now include recycled graduation gowns.

Herff Jones encourages philanthropy and volunteerism. During a recent International Sales Conference, independent sales representatives of Herff Jones raised funds in support of The Roots of Music. The organization offers music education as a means of supporting the musical careers of at-risk children while preserving the heritage of New Orleans. In addition, as a major contributor to the United Way of Central Indiana, Herff Jones earned the Company that Cares distinction five consecutive years for meeting its fundraising goals and allowing its employees to donate time to United Way programs and agencies.
