WHAT ARE SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES?
Sexually transmitted diseases, commonly referred to as STDs, are conditions that pass from one person to another through sexual contact. You can get exposed to STD disease by having unprotected anal, vaginal, or oral sex with someone who is already suffering from this condition. However, this does not necessarily mean that sex is the only way STDs can be transmitted. Infections may be spread through sharing breastfeeding and needles.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES IN FEMALES?
Generally, STDs do not cause any noticeable symptoms. But when they do, common signs of STD in women are:
- Burning or pain during urination
- Abnormal/blood vaginal discharge
- Abdominal pain
- Itching
- Fever
- Swollen glands
- Warts
- Sores
