About Mass Core Drilling

Established January 2007

What is Core Drilling? How is Core Drilling used in Boston Massachusetts? Core Drilling large diameter holes into a concrete foundation or structure is essential when performing home improvement, remodeling or building addition projects in Massachusetts. Also known as coring, core drilling is performed by using a concrete cutting diamond core drill bit which is the equivalent to a concrete cutting diamond blade. Why does a person need to drill perfectly round holes in concrete? Well, for example, if one needs to put a vent through a wall and the wooden sill cannot be accessed and the remaining concrete is all that is left exposed. Most commonly a dryer vent will be drilled through a concrete basement wall but a pellet stove vent or exhaust, especially in New Hampshire and Massachusetts is done in the same frequency. Power venting are metal vents that allow heating systems to exhaust or breathe and are used by plumbers or plumbing contractors during the installation of heat systems that are powered or run on natural gas or propane.
