05/31/2013 The 2013 Tulsa Arthritis Walk is upon us! June 1st 2013. We are busy preparing to show you a really good time. We've got a terrific line up for the day and wanted to share some important information with you to help make the day fun for you!Event Location: University of Tulsa, 800 S. Tucker Drive, Chapman Commons Oval, off 11 St, west of Harvard. Click here for map. Parking: Follow parking signs to lots indicated on map, behind apartments on either side of Chapman Commons Oval. Registration/Check-In: Registration will begin at 9am on Saturday morning. Please make sure that your team members or family members that have not registered prior to walk day stop by this area upon arrival. Donations: If you have donations to turn in that have been collected for your fundraising efforts, please bring them with you to the registration area on walk day. T-Shirts: Walkers that have raised $100 or more are eligible for the official 2013 Tulsa Arthritis Walk T-shirt. At the registration / check-in tables you will receive your claim ticket to obtain your shirt at the designated area. Waggers Welcome: The Tulsa Arthritis Walk is a dog friendly event. Dog owners are welcome to bring their dogs along, provided they follow a few simple rules. 1) All dogs must be on a leash at all times. 2) Dogs must be current on vaccinations. 3) Dogs must be comfortable around crowds, noise, other dogs and children. 4) Dog owners must register their dog at registration and sign a dog waiver.Tulsa Poop 911 will be on site to assist with cleaning up after your dogs. Please help us thank them for their generosity. Additional activities include music, displays, special activities for kids, an auction that includes an autographed Kevin Durant Jersey. Weather: The weather report for Saturday morning is for low 80’s with a little bit of wind and chance for rain. Be sure to wear sunscreen and protect yourself from the sun. The Arthritis Walk will take place rain or shine. An email update will be sent out in the event of dangerous weather conditions. Schedule: 9 am Registration Restaurant Pull - $20 to participate (check, cash or credit card payments accepted) Raffle ticket sales begin 10 am Walk begins 12 pm Auction Support Oklahoma Tornado Victims: Bring your donations on walk day to support the victims of the tornadoes in Oklahoma. We are collecting toiletries, baby items and first aid supplies to take to those affected throughout Oklahoma. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday…so lace up those shoes and come on out. You'll have a really good time.
