Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine Hires New Nurse Practitioner

10/01/2021 Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine is pleased to announce they have recently hired a new nurse practitioner, Margaret (Maggie) L. Smith. As a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, she provides high-quality medical care for pediatric patients.

Smith completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Puget Sounds and continued her education with a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College. She has a passion for helping children feel their best with routine medical care. She has more than six years of experience working in the pediatric primary care setting, making her an excellent addition to the current staff at Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine. Smith will work at the Hudson, Wisconsin, location, providing quality care to the clinic’s many pediatric patients.

In addition to being a pediatric nurse practitioner certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, she is also a certified breastfeeding specialist. Her primary clinical interests include newborn care, nutrition, sleep, and parenting support, giving young families the assistance they need as they grow their families. Smith spends her time outside the office with her husband and two-and-a-half year old son. She was born and raised in Minnesota and enjoys hiking and swimming in her free time.
