Professional Hearing Care Services is family-owned business in Clintonville committed to helping their patients hear the sounds of life. Promoting Central Ohio's hearing health for over 40 years, offering hearing aids and ear protection for all ages.

Dr. Niswander received his B.S. in physics from The Ohio State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in audiology and speech science. He completed a 3-year post-doctorate fellowship at Northwestern University where his research included auditory physiology and behavioral aspects of hearing loss. In 1971, Dr. Niswander returned to Ohio State to teach and subsequently establish the Audiology Clinic at Nisonger Center. His specialization was in pediatric audiology and infant screening. He held academic appointments in both the Department of Speech and Hearing Science and the Department of Pediatrics. In 1995, Dr. Niswander retired from Ohio State and established Professional Hearing Care Services. Since that time, his professional career has been oriented toward helping adults with both hearing protection and hearing impairments.

Dr. Niswander's son and business partner Peter Niswander runs the front office at Professional Hearing Care Services. He is training to be a hearing technician while studying business and financial management at Franklin University.

Professional Hearing Care Services is certified with the Ohio Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Licensing Board, although licensure with the State of Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology supersedes that.

We are also members of the American Speech and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology. Locally, Professional Hearing Care Services belongs to the Columbus, Clintonville, and Upper Arlington Chambers of Commerce as well as the Better Business Bureau.

We do not use subcontractors. All testing is done by Dr. Niswander.
