Platelet-rich plasma is a combination of your blood that contains platelets, which has the effect of accelerating the healing process by increasing the formation of collagen in injured tissues. Plasma is centrifuged at high rates to remove all except the platelets from the sample solution, allowing for faster healing than conventional therapies.
