William “Bill” Thode, is the founder of our firm. Mr. Thode graduated, cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Denver with a degree in Economics. In 1997, Mr. Thode obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C., where he received special distinction for his trial advocacy skills. Mr. Thode practiced commercial litigation for approximately 10 years before developing a thriving family law practice.
He now specializes in contested divorce and child custody cases and had represented more than 300 individual clients in federal and states courts through Colorado and several other western States. He has filed briefs in or appeared personally before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the 9th, 10th and D.C. Circuit Courts, and is licensed to appear before all Colorado state and federal courts. Mr. Thode has been a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations since 1997 as well as the CBA Family Law Section among other affiliations. He is an active member of the Cherry Hills Community Church and lives in Denver with his wife, Fabiola, and three of his four children.
Mr. Thode was recently selected by the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the Top-100 family lawyers in the State of Colorado in 2015.
