About Tribeca Pizzeria
Established January 1995
Since 1995, Tribeca Pizzeria has
provided an array of Italian-based dishes to the residents, employees,
and tourists of the popular Manhattan neighborhood. Located in the lower
Manhattan neighborhood of Tribeca, an acronym for “triangle below Canal
Street,” the restaurant is open for seven days a week and boasts a
robust menu for lunch and dinner. The pizzeria’s manager, Lucio, brings
his expertise and knowledge of Italian cuisine to the shop. Originally
from Calabria, Italy, Lucio has developed an adept skill in the style of
cooking he displays at Tribeca Pizzeria.
The restaurant’s forte is the typical New York favorites. Pizzas, heroes, and calzones come in a number of styles and flavors while such reliable favorites as Penne a la Vodka, Spaghetti and Meatballs, or Chicken Parmigiana are also offered. In addition to the traditional staples of pasta and pizza, Tribeca Pizzeria serves other Italian dishes such as Eggplant Parmigiana, Veal Milanese, Chicken Scapariella, Filet Livronese, and Focaccia Sandwiches. The chefs at Tribeca Pizzeria also strive to tap into their creativity and blend other cuisines into their cooking. Daily specials often include newer inventions, such as barbeque chicken pizza and bacon cheeseburger pies.
Over the course of its 16-year existence in the neighborhood, Tribeca Pizzeria has garnered rave reviews and enjoyed sustained success. The restaurant has remained popular with the employees of movie business offices and receives patronage from many actors and celebrities. As one of the most fashionable and desirable neighborhoods in New York City, Tribeca is home to a number of entertainment stars, many of which have occasioned the local pizzeria. In fact, in a 1990s issue of Esquire, an article mentioned Tribeca Pizzeria as one of Robert DeNiro’s favorite shops to order from. The restaurant continues to be a popular eatery in the neighborhood and looks forward to serving more of the area’s clientele.
