Some of you may not know that my dad, who passed away in August, was a professional guitar player and one of the best there ever was. As a kid, I grew up working and playing in his music store in Atlanta, where I could always pull a Strat, Les Paul, or Ibanez off the wall and shred. So working this year with master guitar designer Andy Powers on the launch of the Powers Electric brand and the A-Type—an amazing new electric guitar inspired by the surf, skate, car, and music cultures of San Diego—has been AWESOME. Today, we’re excited to unveil a new brand and visual identity for Captura.   This past year has seen immense progress for Captura, and we stand on the brink of an exciting new era. With all this momentum, our team felt it was the perfect time to reimagine Captura’s brand from the ground up.   More than a new logo, Captura’s brand is a reflection of who we are, what we stand for, and why we do what we do.   Born out of Caltech, the development of Captura was guided by strict standards of research, testing and evidence. Our team studied the natural cycles of the ocean to design an effective, scalable solution that is ready to remove significant quantities of carbon emissions from the ocean and atmosphere. The result is an elegant process designed for optimal environmental protection – Direct Ocean Capture that simply boosts natural processes and leaves no chemicals behind.    These qualities live at the heart of Captura’s brand DNA and mission: To harness the power of the ocean to heal the climate.   Our new design marries cutting-edge innovation with the inspiration and movement of nature.
