According to a new report, 72% of hackers believe artificial intelligence (AI) will not be able to replace human cybersecurity skills. It’s a conclusion that many in the cybersecurity industry have come to agree on. Here are a few reasons why: • AI can’t think creatively when it comes to solving complex cyber threats. It relies on algorithms and pattern recognition, which can be easily circumvented by determined hackers. • AI systems lack the intuition and experience that a human security professional can offer. This means they may fail to recognize subtle clues or nuances which could be essential in preventing a cyberattack. • AI programs are only as effective as their programming. They can’t come up with new strategies or ideas, so they are limited to pre-established solutions. The takeaway is that even though AI offers a great deal of potential for cybersecurity, it’s still no match for the expertise and flexibility of human professionals. Companies need to invest in quality personnel if they want to keep their digital assets secure.

Managed service providers (MSPs) can be a major asset for any business, but it’s essential to find the right one. When selecting an MSP, look beyond just technical qualifications and make sure they possess the qualities that will help you reach your goals. Here are 5 must-have qualities in an MSP: 1. Good communication skills: Your MSP should be able to clearly explain complex concepts without any jargon. 2. Transparency: You want an MSP that provides regular updates about the progress of their work and is always open to questions from their clients. 3. Flexibility: Your MSP should be able to scale up and down to meet the ever-changing needs of your business. 4. Industry expertise: Research the MSP’s background and have experience with companies in your industry. This will guarantee the best results for your company. 5. Responsiveness: An MSP must be able to respond quickly to any critical problems or emergencies that might arise. Ask about their response time when evaluating different providers. By taking the time to find an MSP with the right qualities, you can ensure that your business receives the best service possible. #MSP #InformationTechnology #ITProvider

Malvertising is a serious threat to businesses and consumers alike. Malicious ads, often disguised as legitimate ones, can be used to spread malware and steal confidential data. Here are a few tips to stay safe from malvertising: .Avoid clicking on suspicious-looking ads: If a banner or pop-up ad looks too good to be true, it probably is. Be wary of promises of free items, giveaways, services, etc. .Install and update anti-malware software: An effective anti-malware program should detect and block malicious ads before they ever have a chance to reach your computer. .Consider using an ad blocker: Ad blockers can help prevent malicious ads from even reaching your device in the first place. .Think before you click: Malicious ads often rely on users clicking on them to be effective, so think twice before doing so. #Malvertising #Cybersecurity #SecurityTips

Did you know human error is the leading cause of cybersecurity breaches in the workplace? It's true. And if your business doesn't have a comprehensive cybersecurity training program in place, you're likely at risk. So, how can you make certain your cybersecurity training is effective? This Forbes article offers great insight into this very topic. Some highlights include: .Use storytelling/visuals: Instead of just listing out security protocols and best practices, try to tell stories or use visuals to make the training more engaging. .Focus on the basics: Many cyber threats stem from basic mistakes like poor password hygiene or clicking on unfamiliar links. Make sure to cover these topics in depth. .Simulate threats: Role-playing can be a great way to give employees a better understanding of how cybercriminals think and what they might target. .Make training an ongoing process: Cybersecurity threats are always evolving, so you can't afford to have a one-time training session. Instead, make security training a regular part of your employee development program. By following these tips, you can ensure your employees are well-equipped to handle ever-changing cyber threats.

Are your passwords secure? Using the same password for multiple accounts or an easy-to-crack password is a huge security risk. That's why it's essential that you protect your accounts with strong, unique passwords. But the challenge is remembering all those complex passwords! One solution to this problem is using a password manager. These programs generate unique and secure passwords for each of your accounts and store them in one encrypted location. All you have to remember is the master password for the password manager itself. Do you use a password manager? If so, do you have any recommendations for others looking for a password manager?

Here are some of the biggest myths about cybersecurity that we hear all the time: Myth #1: "My business is too small to be a target." The truth is smaller businesses are actually more attractive targets for cybercriminals because they tend to have weaker security measures in place. No matter the size of your business, you are at risk if you don't take action. Myth #2: "Cybersecurity is something only the IT department needs to worry about." In reality, cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. Everyone in an organization should understand their role in keeping systems and data secure, from the CEO to interns. Myth #3: "My antivirus software is enough to protect me." Antivirus software helps, but it's just the first step. You need a comprehensive security strategy that includes firewalls, EDR, MDR, user authentication methods, data encryption, and more. Don't fall for common cybersecurity myths - stay informed and take steps to protect your business.
