Insightful thoughts from Anastasia Wiese, J.D., CFP® about empowering women to take charge in their financial future.
Empowering Women in Finance 💹 As we continue to make strides in every field, financial independence should be a top priority for every woman. Whether you're just starting out, scaling the heights of your career, or planning for retirement, managing your finances effectively is key. Here are three crucial steps every woman should consider in order to take charge of her financial future: 1. Educate Yourself About Finances: Knowledge is power. Take the time to understand the basics of budgeting, investing, and financial planning. There are many trusted resources available, from books and online courses to financial seminars. Understanding your finances enhances your ability to make informed decisions. 2. Start Investing Early: The power of compounding interest means that the earlier you start investing, the more your money can grow over time. Committing to a consistent savings and investing strategy early can significantly impact your financial future for the better. 3. Set Clear Financial Goals: What are your financial dreams? Buying a home, saving for your children's education, or securing a comfortable retirement? Set clear, achievable goals and create a roadmap to reach them. Regularly review and adjust your plans as needed to stay on track. At Grand Wealth Management, we're dedicated to empowering our clients with the tools and advice needed to achieve their financial aspirations. We can help you plan better to live better through partnering with you in a lifetime of financial decision making. Let's build a prosperous future together! -- Disclosure: Grand Wealth Management ("GWM") is an independent investment adviser registered under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as amended. Join us in celebrating Ryan Deters first work anniversary at Grand Wealth Management! As a member of our Advisory Team, we took this opportunity to see what was best financial advice Ryan learned growing up and how it shaped him into his career now. GWM: What is the best financial advice you've ever received? RD: I think it was in sixth or seventh grade that we were learning to use Excel in our computer science class. One of the exercises we did to learn how to input and copy formulas was to basically project out the growth of a starting amount of money compounded over time. That was the first time I realized how enormously powerful compound growth is. Every time after that where I’d come across a compounding math problem, or home economics class in high school it would reinforce how beneficial it is to start saving as much as possible as early as possible. It can be hard to save in your twenties, but an extra five or ten years on the front end can make a huge difference in your outcome.
