Russell Abrams is Co-Founder of Aracar Group, a fintech company providing secured lending solutions for consumers and businesses in Latin America. The company has developed proprietary credit scores and collection technology for the allocation of risk based pricing on secured auto loans. Previous to founding Aracar, Mr Abrams co-founded
Russellcar, the largest fleet of Taxis and professional drivers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Russellcar provides the unbanked the opportunity to own their vehicle and enter the formal economy. The company also has a large focus on bringing more women into the transportation industry as both owners of vehicles used for transporting passengers and into the management of Russellcar. Mr Abrams is also the founder of Titan Capital Group, one of the first pure volatility funds, from 2001-2013. Mr. Abrams has extensive experience managing complex portfolios both in developed and emerging markets. Prior to forming Titan, Mr. Abrams was co-head of U.S. Equity Derivative Trading and Convertible Arbitrage at Merrill Lynch. He also led Latam trading for CS First Boston and worked with Fischer Black, co-author of the Black-Scholes Option model which was awarded a Nobel Prize, researching the Capital Asset Pricing Model and other portfolio optimization strategies while at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Computer Science and received an MBA in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business.
