★★★★★

After feeling unsatisfied with the previous physician's opinion, I went to Dr. Reisman for a second opinion. Dr. Reisman took the time to gather information and actually ran various tests besides protocol one. He eased my mind and took the time to address not only my concerns but offered helpful advice for a path to a healthier lifestyle.

While searching for heart doctors near me, I was hoping to find a practice where I’ll be valued as a person. I had a great experience with Dr. Reisman. He was able to schedule me for an appointment within 24 hours and took my concerns quite seriously. He even has night hours. His co-worker who performed the stress test and sonogram was really professional and kind, and his receptionist was warm and welcoming even at the end of the day.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Reisman and his staff. They are the most professional people I have ever dealt with, and the techs are A-1. They saved my life as I happened to have a dangerous condition that required open heart surgery, and I was asymptomatic. Their excellent diagnostic testing picked it up, and I had the same tests done elsewhere with normal results. I would very highly recommend New York Cardiac Diagnostic Center.

World Class Cardiology Centers

We change patients' perceptions of cardiac diagnosis and treatment. With multiple locations throughout New York City, our heart centers provide world-class cardiac care of a standard recognized to be amongst the best in the world.

Dr. Reisman’s practice has built an excellent reputation providing heart screening for patients suffering from all types of cardiac disorders. Our doctors are among the best in their fields, offer exceptional service and use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

Heart Screenings

Heart / Cardiac Testing

Dr. Steven Reisman offers comprehensive heart screenings, as well as fast cardiac testing and care. Cardiac heart testing includes medical tests to detect potential heart disease before symptoms occur. Cardiac testing is widely used to identify patients with heart disease, specifically coronary artery disease (CAD).

Heart Tests

High Blood Pressure

Comprehensive high blood pressure tests are a quick and painless way to detect high blood pressure, commonly known as HBP or hypertension, which is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke.

High Blood Pressure

Sports Cardiology / Athletic Heart

Athlete cardiac assessment includes history and examination to assess both medical and sport-related heart problems. We perform a stress test, an electrocardiogram (ECG), and, if necessary, further testing such as echocardiography at rest or with exercise, cardiac MRI, and testing for severe cardiac rhythm disorders.

About Sports Cardiology / Athletic Heart

Stroke

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, resulting in the death of brain cells. Strokes are classified into two types: ischemic and hemorrhagic. Ischemic strokes occur when a blood clot or plaque buildup in the brain blocks a blood vessel. Hemorrhagic strokes result from blood vessels breaking and leaking into or around the brain.

Stroke Test

Sudden Cardiac Death

Sudden cardiac death, which can have various causes, is the leading cause of natural death in the United States, accounting for approximately 350,000 deaths each year and exceeding deaths from lung cancer, breast cancer, and AIDS.

Sudden Death Screening

Coronary Calcium Scan/Cardiac

A coronary calcium scan looks for calcium specks in (and on) the walls of the coronary (heart) arteries. Calcifications in the coronary arteries are an early sign of coronary heart disease (CHD). Coronary heart disease occurs when a waxy substance called plaque accumulates in the coronary arteries. Cardiac CT is often used to assess heart chambers, heart valves, and surrounding blood vessels. Dr. Steven Reisman can use Coronary Calcium Scan Tests to measure calcium in the coronary arteries and identify the risk of heart disease.

Coronary CT Calcium Scan

Echocardiography

An echocardiogram is an ultrasound test used to assess the heart's function. It is a painless and non-invasive procedure conducted by a trained sonographer that allows physicians to see the anatomy, structure, and function of all four chambers and valves of the heart. An echocardiogram uses sound waves to create "moving pictures" of the heart. The ultrasound and electrocardiography (ECG) signals are digitally recorded for the doctor to review.

Echocardiography

Electrocardiography

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a non-invasive, painless test that monitors the heart's rhythm and electrical activity. Dr. Steven Reisman, a world-class heart doctor, may recommend an ECG for those at high risk of heart disease due to a family history of heart disease, smoking, being overweight, or having diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure.

EKG

Stress test

Stress tests are performed under the supervision of a doctor to assess the cardiovascular system during exercise and increased demand. Cardiac stress test measures exercise capacity and identifies abnormal exercise responses. Depending on the individual's age, history, symptoms, and risk factors, we offer a variety of stress tests in our facility.

Cardiac Stress Test

Holter Monitoring

A Holter monitor is a small wearable ECG recording device used to monitor your heart rhythm over 24 hours. Any abnormal heartbeats/rhythms are detected during your cardiac testing period. The Holter monitor is about the size of a mobile phone and must be worn around your waist. You can continue with your normal everyday activities while using the device.

Holter Monitor

Vascular Ultrasound

Carotid Vascular Ultrasound testing (also known as a "duplex study") of the carotid arteries is a simple, safe, and painless in-office test that uses sound waves to create images of blood circulation.
