About US
Located in the heart of Torrance, California, Dr. Kim Music Academy has been a family owned music academy since 2002. We believe it's not just about playing a musical instrument but it's also about learning to enjoy playing the musical instrument. We are proud to say many of our students have received musical awards through the Certificate of Merit and have gone to Universities pursuing in the field of music.

Everyone is unique. We believe each student is unique in how they learn. So we adapt to our students learning methods and embrace their uniqueness.
We provide our students with teachers who adjust to the student's own tempo of learning and create an atmosphere where they can succeed.

Dr. Joseph Kim
DIRECTOR
In 1997, Dr. Kim received his Music doctorate from the University of Oklahoma and has taught music in various universities; Silla University in Busan, South Korea, Donga University Busan, South Korea, California State University, Northridge.
Dr. Kim has also been the Chairman of The Certificate of Merit from 2010-2011.
