We’ve spoken about the Brazen Shogun and what it represents to the brand but we’ve never explained the inspiration to the bike he is riding into battle. It’s a custom style called #bosozoku - a subculture popularized in metropolitan Japan. These bikes grew into craze by the early 1980s and has since represented rebelliousness and speed. The counter culture of misunderstood teens and their way of expressing their distaste of the social norm and their misunderstood angst.
We knew that the Brazen Shogun’s bike needed to be original and follow its own path.
