Since the founding of Cochran Mortuary, the Cochran family has had one belief and direction... to serve the needs of this community in an honest and dignified manner, with trained and dedicated licensed personnel. It is not uncommon to hear from families served that... "Cochran's people do make the difference."

Cochran Mortuary was founded in 1928 at 1411 N. Lawrence Ave. (Now Broadway Ave.) in the home of it's founder, William F. Cochran, Sr. Cochran Mortuary's legacy of caring commitment to the Wichita community now spans 5 generations and over 75 years. As the 4th and 5th generations, we are honored to continue the Cochran family commitment to the Wichita community.

Over the years, our family has earned a reputation as innovators in our profession. With programs such as our free Video Tributes, the resources contained within this website, and Cochran Mortuary & Crematory's new Facebook page, we hope you will agree and find Cochran Mortuary offers the highest quality service and merchandise options available at fair and competitive prices. Additionally, we have the resources to offer services people have come to expect without unanticipated added expense. As with any responsible locally owned company, the Cochran family also realize the special economic concerns some in our community require. Cochran Mortuary has never denied its services to a family proving economic need.

We hope you will find this website an important tool in planning the appropriate funeral or memorial service for you and your family.  Please feel free to contact us if we can assist in any way or answer any questions.
