Next Up: Mahler’s Symphony No. 3
Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 7:30pm
With Fairfield County Chorale, Fairfield County Children’s Choir and soloist Ann Quintero.
Jonathan Yates epitomizes dedication and artistry in the realm of Mahler interpretation, consistently pushing boundaries and captivating audiences. Here he reflects on his mesmerizing 2014 performance of Mahler's First. In 2019, he took the helm for Mahler’s monumental Second Symphony, conducting the unforgettable finale that left a lasting impression on all. In 2022, Jonathan again garnered thunderous applause and standing ovations with his exhilarating rendition of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony.
Now, on May 18th of this year, Maestro Yates embarks on yet another ambitious undertaking: Mahler's monumental Third Symphony. For this performance, he gathers perhaps the largest musical ensemble ever to grace the Norwalk stage, with augmented brass and strings, and a veritable army of percussion instruments.
The final movement of the Symphony will feature The Fairfield County Children’s Choir, The Fairfield County Chorale, and the haunting alto voice of Ann Quintero, promising an enchanting and immersive musical experience. GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY
