What is Vacuum Impregnation?

The process of vacuum impregnation is accomplished by filling porosity or leak paths with a material to render a part serviceable. Porosity and leak paths, both micro and macro, can allow liquids and or gases to move through materials- thus not allowing the material or part to properly perform the intended function. The vacuum impregnation technology simply evacuates the air and refills the space with a application appropriate thermoset plastic to prevent the flow of liquid or gas.
