Quality Little Girl’s Dresses

By Olive Mae Clothing

04/02/2015 Being a seamstress and a mom, I’m always checking to make sure I don’t waste time and money on low-quality clothing. That’s why I work to create every single Olive Mae dress with love and make sure I produce something that can stand the test of time.
Making quality little girl's dresses
Growing up, I learned everything I know about sewing from my great grandmother, grandmother, mom and sisters. They taught me the importance of taking my time when I sew to make sure I was making quality clothes and not something that would just fall apart after a few wears. I love creating outfits that I can really put my heart and soul into and it makes me so happy to pass these dresses along to other little girls. That’s why I knew when I started Olive Mae that I had to find people who also shared my passion.
Sewing little girl's dresses
I’m so thankful I found seamstresses who are equally devoted to quality and take pride in their work! I have such a skilled group of women working at Olive Mae and I love seeing the amazing work they do. Each and every one of them is so talented and they take the time to make sure every Olive Mae dress is sewn with love and care.
Our seamstresses put love into every little girl's dress
When I started Olive Mae, it was also really important to me that everything stayed local. I didn’t want to design dresses that would end up on a production line somewhere. I wanted to keep everything in the shop so I could really see each individual dress being made. Every Olive Mae dress is handmade right here in Plano, Texas! I’m proud to keep production local, especially when it means I can hire all local seamstresses as well. It means so much more when a dress is handmade by someone who takes the time to ensure it is absolutely perfect! You just can’t get that same kind of quality and care from something that is mass-produced in a factory warehouse somewhere.
Making quality little girl's dresses
On top of being handmade in the good ol’ U.S. of A., all Olive Mae dresses are inspired by antique, vintage designs but made to a modern quality and beautiful fit. These fabrics are unique, gorgeous designs that will stand out in any little girl’s closet. It really is unlike anything else you’ll find for your little girl. Not only do they look beautiful, but these fabrics are durable and can stand up to many washings, which I know is always a good thing in my house!

You might not be able to buy love, but you can buy handmade. And it’s basically the same thing! I guarantee that every Olive Mae dress you order will be a beautiful, high-quality, and a one-of-a-kind creation. If you’re in the Dallas area, come see us in person at our shop in Downtown Plano!
